When giving a presentation in PowerPoint 2007, moving forward through the slide deck is a logical procedure: clicking the mouse or the space bar advances your presentation by one slide. But sometimes you click a little too quickly and need to back up in the presentation. Moving to the previous slide isn't quite as intuitive as moving forward, but a little adjustment in PowerPoint's settings makes it as easy as right-clicking the mouse.
1Click the Office button, which is the round button with the Microsoft Office logo in the upper left-hand corner of the PowerPoint window.
- 2Click "PowerPoint Options" in the bottom of the window that pops up.
- 3Click "Advanced" in the PowerPoint Options window.
- 4Find "Slide Show" about halfway down the screen. The first item in the "Slide Show" menu says "Show menu on right mouse click." By default, this option is checked. Uncheck it.
- 5Click "OK" at the bottom of the "PowerPoint Options" screen. Open your presentation again and move through a couple of slides, then right-click--you will move to the previous slide.
